Bermuda Triple Challenge Format – How It Works

Competitive Timed Division

Compete for cash prizes based on the quickest cumulative time from the Bermuda Triple Challenge Weekend. Sign-up as an Individual or Team of 3 to 5.

To be eligible, participants must complete the Bermuda Triple Challenge, all three days and courses. Obstacles may not skipped. If the obstacle cannot be completed, penalty Superman Burpees will be assessed. Two laps of Saturday’s 5Km Sun Life Island Challenge course is mandatory.

OCR World Championship Qualifier

The top 3 male and female Individuals only qualify for the 2018 OCR World Championships. See OCR World Championship website for full details.

Registration includes a commemorative BTC Tech T-Shirt & 3 piece finisher medal. Each medal piece is awarded after completing the day’s race. Therefore participants must complete all three races to collect a complete medal.

Earn your Obstacle Wildcards!

Not all about Blood, Sweat & Tears! Aid Bermuda’s youth based charities who volunteer and marshal the weekend’s courses through fundraising. Obstacle Wildcards may be used to skip non-mandatory obstacles, saving precious time, including bypassing backlogged queues. Wildcards may not be used on designated mandatory obstacles. Each $500 increment earns up to three Wildcards which may be used at any point over the weekend. Wildcards must be intact for use and carried throughout the courses. The deadline for Wildcard fundraising is 2:00p.m. Thursday, March 15 based on Individuals’ and Teams’ donations total within the Bermuda Triple Challenge’s fundraising portal within www.runsignup.com and any cash donations handed in during the pre-race collection at Washington Mall

Bermuda Triple Challenge Points

Individuals and Teams are also still eligible for the Bermuda Triple Challenge’s $1,000 Grand Prize via Bermuda Triple Challenge Points and their fund raising efforts.

Charity Fun Run

Not all about Blood, Sweat & Tears!

Compete against one another in Teams of 2 to 5 for the Bermuda Triple Challenge’s $1,000 Grand Prize, based on BTC points. BTC Points are earned from completing each day’s challenge, as well as raising charitable donations/sponsorship. The quicker a team completes the course, the more points they receive and there’s one point for every $1 of charitable funds raised.

Teammates are encouraged to help one another complete the obstacles and courses in the quickest times possible. If a team wishes to bypass any of the obstacles, they can opt for an alternative physical challenge; superman burpees!

All the points from the weekend are then aggregated to determine the highest scoring team.

See the Sign-In/Number Pick Up desk prior to the start. Once the waiver is signed each participant will receive a wrist band which must be worn prior to the start and through-out the weekend.

The Waiver encompasses all three challenges and only needs to be signed once. The wrist band identifies who has signed the waiver of liability. If you need a replacement wrist band, see the registration desk prior to the start and resign the waiver.

Charities

100% of every sponsorship dollar raised supports Bermudian Registered Charities.

Teams are asked to drum up support from friends and family on behalf of our supporting charities and in return; these charitable funds will equate into points, one point for every dollar raised and then added to the teams’ overall ‘Challenge Points’ total.  Proceeds raised by participating teams will be donated to the below charities who help fulfil the community’s needs and also make the Bermuda Triple Challenge possible by volunteering at each of the challenges.
